Author Guidelines

The editors of Albariq: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab welcome article submissions in accordance with the following guidelines:

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal. If applicable, authors must provide a clear explanation in the Comments to the Editor.
  2. The manuscript must follow the journal template and be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.docx).
  3. Articles must be written in Arabic or English using formal academic language and a standard scientific structure. Manuscripts should be submitted through the Online Submission System (OJS).

Plagiarism and Originality Requirement

  1. All submitted manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism. The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%, as assessed using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or equivalent tools.
  2. The similarity index must meet the following conditions:
    • The overall similarity does not exceed 20%
    • No single source contributes a disproportionately high percentage of similarity
    • Properly cited quotations, references, and methodological similarities are acceptable
  3. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be:
    • returned to the authors for revision, or
    • rejected without further review, depending on the level of similarity
  4. Authors are required to:
    • ensure proper citation of all sources
    • avoid self-plagiarism and redundant publication
    • paraphrase appropriately and avoid excessive textual similarity

Technical Requirements

  1. Articles are typed in 1.0 spacing, justified, on A4 paper size:
    • Book Antiqua 12 pt (English)
    • Sakkal Majalla 16 pt (Arabic)
      Maximum length: 20 pages (including abstract, references, tables, and figures)
  2. The manuscript structure must include:
    • Title
    • Author(s) name (without academic titles)
    • Affiliation
    • Corresponding author’s email
    • Abstract and keywords

Abstract

  1. The abstract must be written in two languages:
  • English–Indonesian (for English manuscripts)
  • Arabic–Indonesian (for Arabic manuscripts)

Maximum 250 words per version, written in a single paragraph including:

  • objectives
  • method
  • main findings

Main Sections

  1. The manuscript should consist of:
  • Pendahuluan (Introduction / مقدمة)
  • Metode Penelitian (Research Method / منهج البحث)
  • Hasil dan Pembahasan (Results and Discussion / نتائج البحث)
  • Kesimpulan dan Saran (Conclusion / الخلاصة)

References

  1. References should:
  • include at least 15 sources
  • consist of at least 80% journal articles
  • be primarily from the last 5 years
  • use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero
  1. Arabic references must be transliterated into Indonesian following the official transliteration guideline (SKB 1987).
